General: The CDC is exploring its origins and possible cures. It may be a form of the plague. We don't know.

Reporter: Is there anything people can do to protect themselves?

General: Right now, we are encouraging all citizens to stay inside their homes and lock their doors.

Reporter: How is the virus spread? Is it airborne?

General: Airborne is a possibility. We don't know.

Reporter: Is it the virus that's dangerous or its symptomatic violence?

General: Both.

Reporter: How is the military going to deal with this outbreak?
