day 7: news report

Transcript of a Report on the Channel 9 News

Adam Woodski: Violence has erupted across the country as the infection spreads. Hospitals are filled with victims of the disease, and more cases keep pouring in. In many hospitals, staff members have been wounded or even killed by patients in the later stages of the disease. All inbound and outbound flights in the US have been cancelled in an attempt to keep the virus from spreading outside the country. Hold on... I've just received word that we have news from New York. We're now going live to Dennis Graller. Dennis.

Dennis: Adam, I'm in New York right now and it's mayhem everywhere. I've seen people fall out of fourteenth-story windows, people are dying in the streets. Citizens are trying to flee the city on foot. The military has been unable to get things under control.

There's an explosion in the city behind Dennis.

Adam: Dennis, are you okay?

Dennis: Yes, I'm fine. We're going to-

A man rushes up behind Dennis and hits him with a tire iron. Dennis falls to the ground. Two members of the crew attempt to pull the man off.

Adam: Cut away, cut away!

The cameraman is attacked. The signal becomes static.
